Priyathama...

Hey guys,

I am ready with a new song, after a long wait! :)

This song is basically a lullaby, but one with a romantic touch... ;)

Again, it's Chaitu (Chaitanya Deshpande) featuring with lyrics and rendition on this song! He has written some beautiful lyrics for the song, and sung them even more beautifully. In my opinion, this is his best performance till date. (Thanks a lot, bro, for adding so much value to the song!)

Also as usual, credit to Arun for his invaluable suggestions; can't do without them.

It is recommended to use ear/headphones for best quality! :)

Here are the lyrics for the song, along with translation in parentheses, for the benefit of all non-Telugu speaking folks... :)

Priyatama... Priyatama...
(Oh my Love... Oh my Love...)

Challani Vennelava...
(Are you the pleasant moonlight of my life?)

Priyatama... Priyatama...
(Oh my Love... Oh my Love...)

Manasuke Madhurimava...
(Are you the sweet honey of my heart?)

Naa Gundelo... nee chelimine, daachanila snehama...
(Your love will always be treasured in my heart...)

Naa Kanulatho... nee navvule, chudaalila, O priya...
(I would like to see you smile like this... always...)

First verse repeats...

Ee reyi lo... Madi O hayi lo...
(This night... in this joyful moment...)

Naa gunde pai, nidurinchu eevela...
(Come, rest on my bosom and sleep peacefully...)

(A melodious tune will enter my heart...)

Palikenu ee velalo, neeke jola paatala...
(To sing you a sweet lullaby for you...)

Ika, na ee kaugitlo cheripo...
(Get in to my warm embrace now...)

Chanti paapala nidurapo...
(And sleep like a baby...)

Hayi kalalalo telipo...
(Float in the dreamland of joy...)

Madilo kalathanu marichipo...
(And forget all worries in your life...)

(I would like to wake up to the sight of your beautiful eyes, as the sun brightens the day, every morning...)

Lost love...

Hey guys,

I am very excited to present my first bilingual track (recorded in Tamil & Telugu) to you all! :)

I must thank Arun for sowing the seeds of imagination for this piece... this song is actually a result of me setting a Tamil poem written by him to tune! :)

Inspired by Arun, Chaitu (Chaitanya Deshpande) came up with his own take of the song, writing up lyrics in Telugu (thanks bro!). Chaitu also did an awesome job singing both versions with great enthusiasm and commitment. Ironically, he took fewer takes to record the song in Tamil. :)

Additional vocals for this song were beautifully rendered by Kirthi Bedida. Special thanks to Kirthi for making herself available at short notice.

Lyrics:

Thadime alavai, dari cheri pooyave...
(Just like the waves that sweep through and leave the shore, you came in to my life and then left me...)

Kadile nadila, vadilelli pooyave...
(Just like a river which is constantly in motion, you came by and left this place...)

Karige ee kanulalo choodu... sakhiya... neeve...
(If you look into my tearful eyes, you will understand how much I miss you...)

Cheliya Neeve... varamuga nilichi... andinchaave nee premani...
(Oh my sweetheart... you came by like a boon... and showered me with all your love and affection...)

Nidure cheripi... kalavani telipi... marugayyavee maru kshaname...
(And suddenly, you shook me awake... told me it was all a dream... and left the very next moment...)

Nuvve leeni ee lokam... dhwane leni sangeetham...
(This world without you... is like music with no sound...)

Kalave aina... kalathe unna... neekai vechi unna...
(Though you just remained a dream... and even though I am deeply hurt... I will be waiting for you all my life...)

Chal Chal re...

Hey guys,

I am very excited to present my latest composition to you all...

What started out as a romantic number got changed to a fun song, and then to something with a message in it! :)

Chaitu (Chaitanya Deshpande) wrote some terrific lyrics for the song; I tried my best to match the intensity of his words with the music.

Chaitu also sang the song with great enthusiasm and energy; additional vocals by your's truly... :D

Yedalo Medile...

Hey guys,

Finally, I got the chance to record vocals on one of my songs!

A big thanks to Chaitanya Deshpande who not only rendered the song beautifully but also wrote the lyrics all by himself! Chaitanya has been learning to sing for a few years now; he does shows in and around Indianapolis. Apparently, this is his first attempt at writing lyrics; he is still not able to believe that he could actually pull it off... :)

As usual, credit goes to Arun for all his creative input...

Lost in the Atrium...

Hey guys,

Finally, after a long wait, I'm ready with a new track! The main theme of this piece occurred to me a few months ago while fiddling with the piano at a food court named 'Atrium' at Ball State University, hence the title... :)

I have tried something different compared to my previous tracks. Not sure to what level I've achieved what I wanted to. But here it is.

As usual, credit goes to Arun for some great suggestions.

More fun!

Hey guys,

Firstly, Happy Diwali! :)

Hope you had a chance to listen to 'Just for fun'... this track is an extended version of the same. As the name suggests, I had a blast working on this song.

And incidentally, this is my first Diwali release! :)

Thanks to Arun for some awesome suggestions as usual.

Special thanks to Sathya without whose help I wouldn't have had such wonderful tones to work with in the first place!

And not to forget my friend, Bee (Bharath), who put together this awesome computer for me to make music on.
